A holistic approach to movement education
As nothing in life is static,
we must pay attention, move dynamically and move often. Developing a generalistic and evolving movement practice conditions resilient and intelligent bodies, increases awareness and teaches us how to move through lifeβs uncertainties with confidence.
We are a community centered around learning, playing and challenging each other to become better humans. The goal is to bring about vitality and purpose we take late into life.
What to expect in a class.
Expect to study, learn, and build a vast user manual for our bodies, through project work and the act of play. Together we will develop a new relationship with our physical existence, and build a community centered around movement and all that moves us as humans.
In class there are many opportunities to relearn how to play. Working on handstands and olympics rings, partner work with tennis balls and sticks, spine movement and body terminology, juggling, balancing on rails, stillness, rolling in the grass or on cement β movement exists in all aspects of life, so there are endless concepts we engage with.
There is a basis of strength, mobility, coordination, and play which is ongoing in the work. Additional movement concepts, like locomotion and floor-work, are woven in and out to add more flavor and texture to our practice.
